Inside you’ll find 48 large cards (9 x 13 cm) featuring 4 x 12 Australian birds or bird families. 

Magpie, Currawong, Finch, Duck, Thornbill, Tern, Kestrel, Quail, Heron, Honeyeater, Rosella and Owl

There are also 12 poem cards featuring the words from the book. These can be played with separately or in conjunction with the illustration cards. There is a lot of scope to make up play with these cards.

Each bird is illustrated using drypoint etching and hand-coloured watercolour, making every card a mini artwork.
