LOCKER ASSEMBLY VIDEOS & INSTRUCTIONS

LOCKER ASSEMBLY VIDEOS & INSTRUCTIONS

We love the fact that these flat-packed lockers by Mustard Made can be shipped out so easily.... Until we have to assemble it! But luckily they've given us written AND video instructions to make it simple. I recommend watching the video, it'll save you some time in the long run. To avoid arguments, this is a one person job!

The first locker I assembled didn't take long, leave yourself around 20-30 mins. There's no heavy lifting or need for tools, everything you need is in the box.

Tricky bits!

Below are some of the most common questions about building our lockers...

Why isn't it locking?

One of the side panels has a small hole that the lock goes into. If you have put the locker together + can't see this hole you'll need to check the other panel.

To do this take the top + back panels off. Use a flat head screwdriver to lever the top up where the clips hold it on. Push it up as you do.

*TIP* Use some fabric or the foam wrap from the box around the screwdriver to prevent scratching.

The door isn't fitting in right?

This is most likely because the little hole is on the wrong side. You need the holes to be closest to the front. To fix this you'll need to take the locker apart + push the leg part out to turn it around.

Start by taking the top + back panels off. Use a flat head screwdriver to lever the top up where the clips hold it on. Push it up as you do.

*TIP* Use some fabric or the foam wrap from the box around the screwdriver to prevent scratching.

What's this metal washer for?

Don't worry, you aren't going mad! When we made our 'how-to' videos we accidentally left the metal washer out! *face palm* It is shown in the paper instructions + it goes on the bottom hinge acting as a little spacer + yes it is a little bit visible from the front when the door is shut.

Put the hinge on, then the washer, then the door.

I can't get the top on?

This one can be tricky. It takes a little jiggling to get the top in the right place. The key thing is to make sure the two sides + the back are slotted in to the grooves on the inside of the top. Check this carefully + when you are happy they are all in place, push down hard.

*CONFESSION* this bit in our video is edited because it would be super boring otherwise so don't worry if it takes a few minutes to get this right.

Why does the door keep falling off?

This one is easy! Check the top of the door, you just need to bend up the tab to hole the L-shape bracket in place.
